The history of Proworksite
Proworksite was born in Italy in 2024 from a very concrete need: to make buying and selling used professional tools online safer. The founder personally experienced a bad purchase experience: he had paid in advance for a second-hand tool that never arrived, only to discover that many others had been scammed in the same way.
From that episode arose a simple question: why should those who work with professional tools take risks every time they want to buy or sell a used product?
Proworksite is the answer: a service that combines technical refurbishment, tool selection, and structured purchase/sale procedures, to protect both buyers and sellers. From day one, we decided that trust should be our starting point.
Sustainability and Environmental Impact
Professional tools are part of one of the fastest-growing electronic waste (WEEE) streams globally. Every prematurely decommissioned drill or grinder not only represents a waste of precious metals and plastics, but also entails an enormous cost in terms of CO2 emissions, raw material extraction, and water consumption required to produce a new one.
We believe that a well-designed tool can work much longer. Every time we refurbish a tool, we go far beyond simple "recycling": we extend its useful life by preventing the extraction of new resources, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 81%, and drastically decreasing the volume of waste destined for landfills.
Collection and intake
We collect the tool from the customer, register it in our system, and immediately assess its general condition. We analyze its previous use, aesthetic conditions, and create an incoming technical sheet to monitor every subsequent phase.
Technical analysis and reconditioning
Our technicians perform targeted checks on the engine, electrical components, and mechanical parts. We proceed with disassembly, deep cleaning, and replace or repair anything that does not meet the safety and performance standards we have defined internally.
Functional verification and final tests
Before a tool is put up for sale, it's not enough for it to just turn on: it is tested under real-use conditions, under stress, to verify that it can withstand the pace of a construction site or workshop. Only those that pass the test become "Proworksite Reconditioned."
Sale with warranty and assistance
Each tool is published with a clear and transparent description of its aesthetic and functional conditions. Furthermore, our proprietary warranty covers you: in the event of a technical fault not attributable to misuse, we collect and fix the tool.
